Punjab pushes community policing drive with training workshop in Chiniot

CHINIOT, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 15th Apr, 2026) In line with the vision of Maryam Nawaz Sharif to strengthen community policing, a comprehensive training workshop was organized on Wednesday at the District Police Office to foster a more public-friendly approach among law enforcement personnel.

Held on the directives of Abdul Karim, the session brought together a diverse group of participants, including senior police officials, religious scholars, medical professionals, investigation officers, and police personnel. Speakers highlighted the provincial leadership’s emphasis on respectful and citizen-centric conduct in policing.

Addressing the gathering, District Police Officer Dr. Naveed Atif stressed the importance of treating citizens with courtesy and compassion at police stations and offices. He instructed officers and personnel to embody professionalism and promote positive policing practices in their daily duties.

Reaffirming his commitment to institutional reform, the DPO said all available resources would be utilized to transform police station culture. He added that such capacity-building initiatives would continue in phases to ensure sustained improvement in public-police relations.
