Qawali night enthralls audience at Arts Council

RAWALPINDI, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 16th Feb, 2026) A Mehfil-e-Samaa was organized under the auspices of the Information and Culture Department, Government of Punjab, and the Punjab Arts Council Rawalpindi, where renowned qawal Mani Khan captivated the audience with a superb performance.

The event was attended by Director Punjab Arts Council Rawalpindi Muhammad Shakoor, prominent figures associated with the fine arts, music enthusiasts, and a large number of citizens.

Mani Khan, accompanied by his fellow performers, presented soulful Sufi kalam in a compelling style that drew immense appreciation and applause from the audience.

The night created an atmosphere of devotion and cultural harmony, with participants deeply engaged throughout the evening.

The performances reflected the richness of the Sufi tradition and the enduring appeal of qawali as a classical form of expression.

Speaking on the occasion, Director Muhammad Shakoor praised the artists for their outstanding performance and said that such events play a vital role in promoting cultural values and introducing the younger generation to the heritage of Sufi music and qawali.
