NAWABSHAH, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 28th Apr, 2026) Quaid-e-Awam University of Engineering, Science and Technology, organized an eighth “Plug-In Project and Poster Competition” where students from various universities across Sindh participated.

The competition featured mega projects, mini projects, and technical posters. It was organized under the supervision of the Chairman of Electrical Department, Professor Dr. Abdul Sattar Sand. Students presented a wide range of innovative projects during the exhibition.

The ceremony was jointly inaugurated by Vice Chancellor Professor Dr. Saleem Raza Samo, Pro Vice Chancellor Professor Dr. Kishanchand Makhwana, Dean Professor Dr. Abdul Fatah Chandio, Professor Abdul Sattar Jamali, Professor Dr. Ramzan Laghari, Professor Dr. Abdul Sattar Sand, Professor Dr. Ibrahim Channa, and Professor Dr. Intasab Sadhayo.

Addressing the event, Vice Chancellor Professor Dr. Saleem Raza Samo, Pro Vice Chancellor Professor Dr.

Kishanchand Makhwana, Dean Professor Dr. Abdul Fatah Chandio, and other speakers said that the Electrical Department had organized this program under the title “Plug-In,” with participation from students of different universities across Sindh.

They emphasized that along with academic studies, practical and physical activities are essential, as such programs help create awareness among students. Speakers noted that these activities play a vital role in bridging the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical skills.

The speakers further stated that such initiatives help highlight the abilities of young engineers and promote collaboration among them. They added that these activities encourage research-oriented thinking, creativity, and practical expertise among students.

At the end of the event, awards were distributed among position holders and other participants.
