QUETTA, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 19th Apr, 2026) Secretary of Communications and Works, Babar Khan, has announced the completion of the Kohla Phatak to Chaman Phatak road project in record time, describing it as a major step toward resolving Quetta’s longstanding traffic problems.
During an inspection visit, Babar Khan was accompanied by Chief Engineer Federal Projects Dr. Sajjad Baloch, Executive Engineer E&M Works Division Haji Muhammad Anwar, and other officials.
Executive Engineer Anwar briefed the delegation, noting that completing the project within the stipulated time frame was a significant challenge. However, with the special instructions of Provincial Minister for Communications and Works Mir Saleem Ahmed Khosa and the effective guidance of Secretary Babar Khan, the project was successfully delivered.
Officials emphasized that the road was built using modern construction technology to ensure durability and improved performance. Secretary Babar Khan expressed satisfaction with the quality of work, calling the timely completion “an important milestone.” He confirmed that the project will be formally inaugurated by Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti.
Babar Khan reiterated that the department’s top priority is to complete all ongoing development projects across Balochistan within the scheduled timeframes, ensuring both quality and speed. He pledged that future public welfare projects will continue to uphold these standards, contributing to the province’s progress and prosperity.
