Quetta Traffic Police deploy 260 personnel to manage Eid shopping rush

QUETTA, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 16th Mar, 2026) The Quetta Traffic Police have rolled out a comprehensive traffic management plan to ensure smooth vehicular movement during the busy Eid shopping season, deploying 260 personnel across key commercial centers and shopping malls.

Senior Superintendent of Police (Traffic) Mirza Bilal Hassan announced the plan while inspecting traffic arrangements in various parts of the city. He said officers will perform duties under the supervision of senior officials to maintain traffic flow and assist the public during peak shopping hours.

Mirza Bilal Hassan emphasized that strict measures will be taken to keep the traffic system organized and minimize congestion around major shopping hubs.

He warned that no individual will be allowed to create obstacles in traffic flow or establish illegal encroachments on roads.

He further stated that legal action will be taken against illegally parked motorcycles and vehicles that block roads and disrupt traffic.

The SSP Traffic urged citizens and shopkeepers to cooperate with traffic police and strictly follow traffic rules. He said public cooperation is essential to ensure smoother transportation and convenience for commuters during the festive season.

Officials believe that with coordinated efforts and public support, the traffic management plan will help maintain order on city roads and provide better convenience to shoppers ahead of Eid.
