'Hum Se Mat Uljho' draws on Marka-e-Haq themes, highlighting unity, resolve and sacrifice
RAWALPINDI:
Radio Pakistan Rawalpindi on Sunday released a new patriotic song, 'Hum Se Mat Uljho', aimed at reinforcing national spirit and unity, drawing inspiration from the fervour associated with Marka-e-Haq and recent expressions of collective resolve. The Milli Nagh¬ma, marked by a powerful composition and emotionally charged delivery, carries a message of courage, sacrifice and cohesion, resonating with listeners while projecting a firm and uncompromising stance towards adversaries. Officials described it as a timely cultural initiative. Rendered by vocalist Waqas Ali, who also composed the music, the song combines intensity with lyrical depth. The lyrics, penned by Dur-e-Shahwar Tauseef, pay tribute to the bravery and commitment of the country's defenders while emphasising a principled, peace-oriented outlook. The production brings together multiple creative elements, with video editing by Muhammad Hasnain and cinematography by DJ Adil Khan. The project has been produced by Tahir Mahmood, adding a visual dimension that complements the song's emotional tone. The initiative was developed under the directives of Director General Saeed Ahmed Sheikh and Director Programmes Musarrat Shah Rukh, reflecting a coordinated effort to use cultural expression as a means of strengthening national identity and solidarity. Officials said the release is intended to reconnect audiences with themes of resilience and shared purpose, particularly at a time when narratives of unity and collective strength are being actively reinforced across media platforms. The song release comes as the nation marks the first anniversary of Marka-e-Haq next week. The operation last year fundamentally transformed Pakistan's geopolitical standing and rewritten the security dynamics of South Asia.
