Raid on factory, 62000 kg of unhealthy cheese recovered

LAHORE, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 11th Apr, 2026) Additional DG Operations Asadullah of the Punjab food Authority (PFA) on Saturday raided a cheese

factory located on Khanpur Canal and recovered 62000 kg of fungus-infected, smelly and unhealthy cheese

and destroyed it.

After a 20-hour long operation, a large network of people manufacturing unhealthy products was busted and an accused was arrested on the spot and a case was registered against five people including the owner.

The unit was full of rats, insects and dirt, poor arrangements were found, while termites were found in the store. Raw materials were found to be infested with termites.
