Railways to observe Youm-e-Marka-e-Haq with nationwide events on May 10

ISLAMABAD, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 4th May, 2026) Federal Minister for Railways Muhammad Hanif Abbasi Monday announced that Pakistan Railways will observe Youm-e-Marka-e-Haq on May 10 with great national enthusiasm and patriotic fervor across the country.

In a statement, the minister said that special ceremonies will be held nationwide to pay rich tribute to the national leadership and the armed forces for their unwavering dedication and services to the nation.

He said that the occasion will also highlight the visionary leadership of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, whose strategic vision and decisive actions have enhanced Pakistan’s standing at the global level.

The minister emphasized that heartfelt homage will be paid to the martyrs of the nation, while the bravery, sacrifices and professional excellence of the armed forces will be duly acknowledged.

He said that the resilience and sacrifices of the families of martyrs will also be honored on the occasion.

Hanif Abbasi said that dignified ceremonies will be organized at all seven divisional headquarters of Pakistan Railways under the supervision of their respective divisional heads.

The main ceremony will be held in Rawalpindi on May 10 at 3:00 PM, where the minister will personally address the gathering.

On this occasion, the Green Line train will be launched with special “Marka-e-Haq” branding, while around 40 major railway stations across the country will be decorated in line with the theme of the day.

In addition, special events will be organized in Peshawar under the supervision of the Chairman Railways and in Lahore under the leadership of the CEO Railways to highlight the significance of the day.

Reaffirming his commitment, the minister said that Pakistan Railways will observe Youm-e-Marka-e-Haq as a symbol of national unity, patriotism, and a tribute to the enduring sacrifices of the country’s martyrs.
