Railways to organize nationwide Youm-e-Marka-e-Haq Celebrations; Abbasi

RAWALPINDI, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 4th May, 2026) Federal Minister for Railways, Mohammad Hanif Abbasi, announced on Monday that Pakistan Railways will organize grand and dignified ceremonies across the country, including Rawalpindi, to observe "Youm-e-Marka-e-Haq" on May 10.

These celebrations are designed to pay a glowing tribute to the martyrs of the motherland while specifically honoring the sacrifices, bravery, and national services rendered by the armed forces.

In a statement, the Minister emphasized that Youm-e-Marka-e-Haq stands as a glorious chapter in Pakistan’s history, serving as an occasion to highlight the sacrifices of the Pakistan Armed Forces and the visionary decisions of the national leadership.

He noted that the combined leadership of the Prime Minister and the Field Marshal has secured global dignity and respect for the nation, an achievement that remains a source of immense pride for all citizens.

The central ceremony is scheduled to take place in Rawalpindi at 3:00 PM, where the Federal Minister will deliver a keynote address to the attendees.

During this event, special recognition will be given to the families of the martyrs, saluting their patience and steadfastness in the face of sacrifice.

Beyond the main event, festivities will be held across all seven divisional headquarters of Pakistan Railways under the direct supervision of divisional heads to ensure the message reaches every corner of the country.

To enhance the patriotic atmosphere, Rawalpindi Railway Station will be specially decorated under the "Marka-e-Haq" theme. Additionally, the Green Line train will be dispatched with exclusive branding dedicated to the day, while special displays will be set up at 40 major railway stations nationwide.

The Minister concluded by stating that Pakistan Railways is committed to celebrating this day with full national zeal to further ignite the spirit of patriotism across the country.
