Rain disrupts power supply on 30 PESCO feeders: Spokesman

PESHAWAR, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 17th Apr, 2026) Power supply to around 30 feeders across the Peshawar Electric Supply Company (PESCO) region was disrupted due to rainfall, a spokesman said on Friday.

He said 15 feeders in Peshawar, 10 in Swat, and five in Bannu were affected by the outage.

In Peshawar, electricity supply was suspended in areas including Akhunabad, Acheni, Gulzai, Zaryab, Daulat Pura, and Takhtabad.

In Swat, outages were reported in parts of Wazirabad, Chakdara, Upper Chitral, and Hisar Baba.

Similarly, in Bannu, power supply was affected in Abdul Khel, Sabir Baba, and Sarwangi areas.

Chief Executive of PESCO, Akhtar Hameed Khan directed the field staff to ensure immediate restoration of electricity.

The spokesman said that repair work was underway on all affected feeders and power supply would be restored soon.

He added that all other feeders in the region were operational and electricity was being supplied as per routine.

PESCO advised consumers to report power outages by calling the helpline 118.
