ISLAMABAD, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 4th Jun, 2026) Adviser to the Prime Minister Rana Sanaullah on Thursday expressed confidence that the upcoming Gilgit-Baltistan (G-B) elections would be conducted in a free, fair, and transparent manner.

Speaking to a private television channel, he said that the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) would secure a majority of seats in the elections. Rana Sanaullah stated that after winning the polls, PML-N would continue its efforts to promote development projects and improve facilities for the people of the northern region.

Commenting on local government institutions, he emphasized the importance of empowering local bodies to effectively address issues at the grassroots level, particularly in Karachi. Responding to a question, he said that following the 18th Constitutional Amendment, it is the responsibility of provincial governments to utilize available funds for public welfare and development projects.
