Rashid Minhas remembered as symbol of courage on 75th birth anniversary

FAISALABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 20th Feb, 2026) The 75th birth anniversary of national hero Rashid Minhas Shaheed was commemorated with a dignified ceremony.

The speakers described Rashid Minhas Shaheed as an enduring symbol of courage and patriotism and paid glowing tribute to his unparalleled sacrifice for the motherland.

The ceremony took place at the residence of Rana Riaz Ahmed Minhas President of Rashid Minhas Shaheed Society and a large number of community members and dignitaries attended the event to honor the national hero.

Addressing the participants, the speakers highlighted that Rashid Minhas Shaheed embraced martyrdom at a young age while thwarting an attempt to hijack a Pakistan Air Force aircraft, thereby safeguarding national security.

Rashid Minhas’ sacrifice set a timeless example of devotion to duty and unwavering commitment to the country, they added.

They emphasized that remembering national heroes was imperative to instill patriotism and a sense of responsibility among the youth.

Chairman All Pakistan Rajput Minhas Community Rana Ashraf Minhas attended the ceremony as chief guest while General Secretary Sharif Minhas and Patron-in-Chief Zahid Masood Nizami Minhas were also present on the occasion.

Among other prominent participants were Mehboob Alam Minhas, Rana Iftikhar Minhas, Rana Javed Iqbal, Rana Ejaz Minhas, Rana Ashfaq Khan, RPN news CEO Shehbaz Qamar Minhas, Arif Hussain Shah, Zahid Ashiq, Ghulam Sabir Minhas, Rana Saleem Naqshbandi, Rana Nasir, Arsalan Masood Nizami Advocate, Rana Sadiq Fauji, Rana Sohail, Rana Imran, Rana Imran Minhas, Rana Muneer, Rana Qutab Minhas, Rana Iqbal, Rana Ashiq Pappu and Rana Irshad.

The ceremony concluded with special prayers for stability and prosperity of the country.
