RAWALPINDI, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 26th Jul, 2026) Rawalpindi Police have issued a public advisory after a WhatsApp number associated with the City Police Officer (CPO) Office was compromised by hackers.
According to a spokesperson, the WhatsApp number 0307-8883800 has been hacked.
<?php /*?> <?php */?>Citizens have been urged not to respond to or engage with any messages received from the compromised number.
The police said action is being taken against those responsible for the hacking incident and an investigation is underway to identify and apprehend the perpetrators.
The spokesperson appealed to the public to ignore any messages sent from the affected number until further notice and to remain vigilant against potential fraudulent or misleading communications.
