RAWALPINDI, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 29th May, 2026) The Rawalpindi Cantonment board (RCB) has completed its Eid-ul-Azha sanitation operation, disposing of over 4,500 tonnes of animal waste during the three days of Eid.
According to the details, the operation, launched a night before Eid, continued for four days across various cantonment areas, where teams carried out offal collection, washing of transfer stations and spraying of disinfectants and lime to ensure cleanliness.
RCB Chief Aamir Rasheed and Deputy CEO Nasir Kamal visited different localities to monitor the operation, while a central control room remained active to address public complaints, all of which were resolved promptly, officials said.
<?php /*?> <?php */?>Around 700 sanitation workers and more than 119 small and large vehicles took part in the drive, with Chief Public Health Officer Khalil Ullah supervising field activities.
Officials said that roads, streets and designated collective sacrifice points were thoroughly cleaned, washed and disinfected, adding that the RCB chief appreciated the performance and dedication of the staff during the Eid days.
