RAWALPINDI, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 16th Apr, 2026) A delegation of the Pakistan Environmental Protection Agency (Pak-EPA) visited the Rawalpindi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (RCCI) to discuss promotion of sustainable practices and environmental compliance in the pharmaceutical sector.
The visit focused on encouraging eco-friendly production methods and ensuring adherence to environmental regulations within the industry.
RCCI President Usman Shaukat highlighted the importance of sustainable growth, stressing the need for environmentally responsible manufacturing practices and compliance with regulatory frameworks.
He said the business community was committed to adopting green initiatives to align with national environmental standards and global best practices.
Senior Vice President Khalid Farooq Qazi, Vice President Fahad Barlas and other participants were also present on the occasion.
The meeting concluded with a shared commitment to strengthen collaboration between regulatory authorities and the business sector for promoting sustainability in the pharmaceutical industry.
