RDA demolishes structures in three illegal housing schemes

Aamer Khattak, the RDA Enforcement Squad on Friday demolished unauthorised structures and development works in three illegal housing schemes, including Green Enclave, Century Town/Signature City and Taqwa Town, situated along G.T. Road in Rawat

RAWALPINDI, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 3rd Jul, 2026) Acting on the directions of the Commissioner, Rawalpindi Division and Director General, Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA), Engr. Aamer Khattak, the RDA Enforcement Squad on Friday demolished unauthorised structures and development works in three illegal housing schemes, including Green Enclave, Century Town/Signature City and Taqwa Town, situated along G.T. Road in Rawat.

According to the RDA spokesman, the demolition drive included the removal of roads, electricity poles, medians, plot demarcations and site offices established without approval, in accordance with relevant laws and regulations aimed at curbing illegal housing activities and protecting public interests.

The operation was supervised by Deputy Director Planning Muhammad Daud, while Assistant Director Planning Lutafullah, the Scheme Superintendent, the Scheme Inspector and other members of the RDA Enforcement Squad also participated.

The RDA warned sponsors and developers of illegal housing schemes to immediately cease all unauthorised activities, including development work, marketing, advertising, booking and the sale of plots, stating that strict legal action would be initiated against violators under the relevant laws without further notice.

Reaffirming its commitment to planned and lawful urban development, the Authority urged citizens, overseas Pakistanis, investors and property dealers to avoid investing in illegal housing schemes and verify the approval status of projects before entering into any property transaction.
