On this occasion, Syed Shakeel Haider, consultant at the Ombudsman Regional Office Larkana, briefed them about Act No. 04 of 2010. He stated that all officers and employees in institutions should be aware of this act, and every organization must have an inquiry committee to investigate any kind of workplace harassment, especially involving women.

He further said that if women working in institutions feel they are being harassed, and it could affect their employment or cause financial loss, they should immediately file a complaint. Initially, they should submit an application within their organization and then present their case before the inquiry committee to report the harassment.

He added that it is our responsibility to spread awareness in society so that false cases are not filed against anyone, as lack of legal awareness leads to increased crime. He emphasized that harassment occurs in both public and private institutions, and strict action should be taken against those responsible, including legal proceedings.

He further said that some things are learned through education and others through experience, so acquiring knowledge is essential. Around the world, women face harassment, and due to lack of justice, such cases are increasing.

Regional Director Information Larkana, Irshad Ali Chandio, said that a large number of people in our society come from rural areas, and due to lack of education and legal awareness, crime is increasing. Awareness programs are necessary so that people can become informed.
