Registration for Bykea riders starts in Safe Rider App Peshawar

PESHAWAR, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 18th Mar, 2026) Receiving positive results from the newly introduced “Safe Rider App,” launched to enhance citizen safety and regulate online ride services, registration of Bykea motorcycle riders is currently underway on a daily basis by Peshawar police.

According to police on Wednesday, the app was introduced nearly three months ago with the aim of creating a proper database of riders associated with online bike services and ensuring safer travel for the public.

They stated that riders are being registered in phases, with several individuals being added to the system each day. This initiative will not only help verify the identity of riders but will also make it easier to track them and take swift action in case of any untoward incident.

Officials further explained that complete profiles of registered riders including personal and identification details are being securely stored through the app, which is expected to strengthen public trust in ride-hailing services.

The police also noted that efforts are being made to speed up the registration process. In the future, riders from other online bike services will also be included in the system to provide citizens with a safer and more reliable transportation experience.
