Relief camp to beat heat wave established

BAHAWALPUR, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 30th May, 2026) Deputy Commissioner Syed Hassan Raza visited the heatstroke camp established at Farid Gate in view of the intense heat and ongoing heatwave.

He reviewed in detail the facilities being provided to citizens at the camp. The deputy commissioner inspected the arrangements at the camp, including the provision of cold drinking water and other medical and safety facilities. He directed the concerned staff to ensure maximum relief for the public and stated that any negligence during the heatwave would not be tolerated.

He said that, in accordance with the directives of the Government of Punjab, the district administration is taking effective and timely measures to protect citizens from the adverse effects of extreme weather conditions. Raza informed that the heatstroke camp at Farid Gate would provide cold drinking water around-the-clock so that travelers, laborers, and other members of the public passing through the city could remain protected from the effects of severe heat.
