ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 18th Apr, 2026) Religious Affairs Minister Sardar Muhammad Yousaf on Saturday confirmed that this year’s facilities for hujjaj were being upgraded to surpass those of previous years, advising pilgrims to strictly follow instructions to ensure a smooth and disciplined pilgrimage as the first Hajj flight from Pakistan departs.
While speaking to a local media channel, Sardar Muhammad Yousaf offered heartfelt prayers for the pilgrims, wishing them a safe and spiritually fulfilling journey and expressing hope for a smooth and hassle-free pilgrimage experience.
Minister urged pilgrims to fully comply with Saudi laws during their Hajj pilgrimage, adding, adhering to these regulations is crucial for maintaining the good reputation of both Pakistan and the host country.
The Minister also highlighted that respecting local laws would contribute to a smooth and orderly pilgrimage experience, ensuring the safety and dignity of all pilgrims.
He further expressed great satisfaction with the ongoing services at the ministry’s Hajj camps, highlighting the comprehensive training, vaccination efforts, distribution of gifts and other crucial facilities, all ensuring a seamless experience for the pilgrims.
He further stated that under the government Hajj scheme, a total of 468 flights would transport pilgrims from Pakistan to the Holy Hijaz. These flights will depart from Karachi, Lahore, Sialkot and Multan, with the first flights set to leave today, April 18.
He further revealed that Lahore is now offering direct flights to Makkah, improving the accessibility for pilgrims from the region. This marks a significant enhancement in the Hajj travel experience.
The Minister also emphasized the upgraded facilities for pilgrims, including improved food, accommodation and transportation services, ensuring a more comfortable and organized journey for those embarking on the sacred
pilgrimage.
Yousaf mentioned that he is closely overseeing all preparations and has instructed officials to make sure that hospitals and dispensaries in Makkah and Madinah are ready and operational before the arrival of Hajj pilgrims.
