KARACHI, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 11th Jun, 2026) Parliamentary Leader of the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) in the Karachi Metropolitan Corporation (KMC), Karamullah Waqasi said that the replacement of the 60-year-old Water Line no. 5 from Dhabeji to Karachi is a landmark project with long-term benefits.

In a statement on Thursday, he said the completion of the project will significantly strengthen the city’s water transmission network, making it more efficient, reliable, and sustainable while ensuring improved water supply for millions of residents.

He expressed confidence that the positive impact of these initiatives will become even more evident in the coming years and will contribute to addressing one of Karachi’s most pressing civic challenges.
