Rescue 1122 Attock provides emergency cover to Ashura events, treats over 500 mourners

ATTOCK, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 26th Jun, 2026) Rescue 1122 Attock delivered comprehensive emergency and medical services during Ashura (10th Muharram), ensuring prompt response and uninterrupted emergency cover for mourning processions, religious gatherings, and Majalis across the district, District Emergency Officer Dr. Mian Muhammad Ashfaq said on Friday.

Working under the directives of Secretary Emergency Services Dr. Rizwan Naseer and the supervision of Dr. Ashfaq, Rescue 1122 teams remained on high alert throughout the district. More than 100 rescue personnel and 20 trained volunteers were deployed, while 13 ambulances, 22 rescue motorbikes, and six fire and rescue vehicles were strategically stationed at sensitive locations and along procession routes to ensure rapid emergency response.

According to Rescue 1122 officials, emergency teams provided complete medical and rescue coverage to all major and minor Ashura processions and religious gatherings. During the duty period, personnel administered first aid and emergency medical treatment to more than 500 mourners and participants, reflecting the department's preparedness and operational efficiency.

The district administration, mourners, and local residents appreciated the timely and professional services rendered by Rescue 1122 Attock during the Ashura observances. Officials praised the department's vital contribution to maintaining emergency preparedness and supporting the peaceful conduct of Muharram through effective rescue and medical response services.
