Rescue 1122 Chiniot responds to 205 emergencies during Eid holidays

CHINIOT, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 29th May, 2026) Rescue 1122 Chiniot remained on high alert during the first two days of Eid-ul-Adha and responded promptly to 205 emergencies of different nature, providing rescue services to 201 victims across the district.

District Emergency Officer Tahira Khan said Rescue 1122 personnel continued serving the public despite Eid holidays and ensured immediate response to every emergency call. She said the highest number of incidents comprised 124 medical emergencies in which patients were provided timely medical assistance.

According to rescue statistics, 49 road traffic accidents were reported during the period, leaving 60 people injured while one person lost his life.

The injured included 44 men and 16 women. Rescue teams shifted 25 critically injured persons to hospitals, while 35 victims were administered first aid at the scene.

The rescue spokesperson said other incidents included three crime-related emergencies, 15 rescue operations, three fall incidents, and two fire cases, all of which received swift response from rescue teams. The report revealed that most accidents involved motorcyclists, with negligence identified as the leading cause. Tahira Khan urged citizens to follow traffic rules, drive carefully, and adopt precautionary measures to safeguard lives and property, adding that Rescue 1122 remained fully prepared to handle all kinds of emergencies.
