LODHRAN, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 15th Apr, 2026) The Rescue 1122, in collaboration with the district administration, conducted its first pre-flood mock exercise at the District sports Complex to prepare for potential flood emergencies. The initiative aligns with the vision of Maryam Nawaz for a “Safer Punjab” and was carried out under the directives of Dr. Rizwan Naseer.
Deputy Commissioner Muhammad Ashraf attended as chief guest, along with other administrative officers and officials from multiple departments.
The event began with a formal salute by Rescue 1122 personnel and featured various emergency response camps, including rescue, health, livestock, civil defence, agriculture, and municipal services.
An Emergency Control Room and Information Center were also established to ensure effective communication during flood situations. Officials highlighted the importance of coordination and preparedness, noting that during last year’s floods, Rescue 1122 evacuated over 11,900 people and more than 1,000 livestock.
The exercise aimed to test equipment readiness, improve rescue skills, and strengthen inter-departmental coordination. It concluded on a patriotic note, reflecting high morale and commitment among participants.
