Rescue 1122 educates students on effective emergency management

Dera Ismail Khan, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 16th May, 2026) Rescue 1122 organized a comprehensive emergency response training session at Qurtuba University on the special directives of the Director General Rescue 1122 and Director Operations South.

The training session was conducted by the Training Wing team under the supervision of the District Emergency Officer Rescue 1122 Dera Ismail Khan following a request from the university administration.

During the session, participants were provided detailed awareness and practical training on Basic Life Support (BLS), first aid and fire safety measures.

The Rescue 1122 team trained participants in effective emergency response techniques, administration of first aid to patients, practical cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) exercises, fire prevention and safety measures, evacuation procedures and the proper use of fire extinguishers.

Speaking on the occasion, Vice Chancellor of Qurtuba University Dera Ismail Khan, Dr Khair ul Zaman lauded the professional services, public service spirit and timely emergency response of Rescue 1122.

He said Rescue 1122 was not only saving lives but also playing a significant role in promoting awareness, training and a culture of safety in society. He appreciated the efforts of the emergency service and termed its public welfare initiatives commendable.

Participants also praised the training provided by Rescue 1122 and said such awareness and capacity-building activities were vital for improving the community’s ability to respond effectively during emergencies.
