Rescue 1122 EMT martyred in accident

MUZAFFARGARH, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 16th Apr, 2026) An Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) of Rescue 1122 embraced martyrdom after an ambulance

met with a tragic road accident while responding to an emergency call, early Thursday morning.

According to Rescue 1122 sources, the district control room received an emergency call, reporting an

accident involving a Rescue ambulance near Shahgarh–Shah Jamal Road. The ambulance was rushing to attend an emergency when it collided with a tractor-trolley parked along the roadside.

As a result of the severe crash, Emergency Medical Technician Sanaullah s/o Abdul Rehman, aged around 30, sustained critical injuries.

On the directions of District Emergency Officer Engineer Ubaidullah Khan, the control room immediately dispatched three Rescue vehicles to the scene.

Rescue teams promptly initiated relief operations and shifted the injured EMT to District Headquarters Hospital Muzaffargarh after providing first aid at the site.

Officials said the injured rescuer had suffered serious head and facial injuries along with multiple fractures in his arm and leg. Despite the best medical efforts, he succumbed to injuries at the hospital and was declared martyred in the line of duty.

District Emergency Officer Engineer Ubaidullah Khan personally supervised the rescue operation and later visited the hospital to review medical arrangements.

After completion of legal formalities, the body of the martyred rescuer was handed over to the family and shifted to his native village, Bait Mir Hazar, for burial.
