Rescue 1122 placed on high alert in Murree amid adverse weather forecast

MURREE, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 30th Mar, 2026) The Punjab Emergency Service Rescue 1122 has been placed on high alert in Murree in view of the prevailing adverse weather conditions, officials said on Monday.

A Rescue 1122 spokesman said all rescue personnel, along with emergency resources, had been mobilised in the field due to the risk of heavy rain, strong winds, storms and hail, to ensure a prompt, effective and professional response in case of any untoward incident.

He said all teams were fully alert and prepared to deal with any emergency, adding that the control room had been made operational round the clock for continuous monitoring and timely action.

The spokesman warned of potential hazards, including flooding in streams and nullahs, landslides, lightning strikes and hailstorms. He said ambulances, motorbike rescue service and other emergency resources had been kept on standby to ensure immediate response.

He urged citizens to avoid unnecessary travel during adverse weather, stay away from streams and fast-flowing water and remain in safe locations.

The spokesman further advised the public to immediately contact the helpline 1122 in case of any emergency.
