ATTOCK, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 28th Jun, 2026) Rescue 1122 divers on Sunday recovered the body of an 18-year-old youth from the Indus River after an intensive three-day search operation in the Hazro tehsil, rescue officials said.
The deceased, identified as Rehman Ullah, son of Zameer Gul, reportedly drowned while bathing in the Indus River near the Waisa area of Hazro.
<?php /*?> <?php */?>Rescue teams rushed to the site immediately after receiving information about the incident and launched a search operation.
Trained divers continued the search despite difficult conditions, combing the river for three consecutive days before locating and retrieving the body on Sunday.
After completing the required legal formalities, Rescue 1122 officials handed over the body to the bereaved family for burial. Rescue authorities urged the public to exercise caution and avoid swimming in deep or fast-flowing rivers to prevent such tragic incidents.
