MALAKAND, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 1st Jun, 2026) The Rescue 1122 Malakand responded to 434 emergencies during the last month, and rescued 403 people, the district emergency sources said on Monday.
District Emergency Officer, Nasser Khan said the incidents included 284 medical emergencies, 78 road traffic accidents, 28 fire incidents, 12 cases involving shootings and violence, seven drowning incidents, 25 recovery operations and 12 deaths.
<?php /*?> <?php */?>He said the rescue service also handled 182 referral cases, transferring 185 patients both within and outside the district for medical treatment.
The Rescue 1122 control room received 12,630 calls during the month, of which 8,154 were classified as fake or unrelated to emergencies.
A Rescue 1122 spokesperson said the organisation remained committed to providing timely and quality emergency services to the public.
