Rescue 1122 rolls out robust Eid emergency plan in Chiniot

CHINIOT, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 18th Mar, 2026) In line with the directives of Secretary Emergency Services Department Dr. Rizwan Naseer (Sitara Imtiaz), District Emergency Officer Tahira Khan on Wednesday unveiled a comprehensive duty plan to ensure timely and effective emergency response during Eid-ul-Fitr. Moreover, Rescue 1122 teams will remain fully alert round the clock to respond to road accidents, medical emergencies, fires, and other unexpected incidents, ensuring a swift and reliable rescue service for citizens.

Meanwhile, special arrangements have been made to provide medical cover at major Eidgahs and large mosques across the district during Eid prayers. Rescue officials will be strategically deployed to handle any emergency situation, while additional preparedness measures reflect a proactive approach to public safety during large gatherings.

Furthermore, special rescue posts will be established at the Chenab River and other recreational spots to prevent accidents and ensure rapid response. Ambulances, fire vehicles, rescue units, and motorbike rescue services will be efficiently stationed at key locations, forming a well-coordinated and responsive emergency network across the district.

Consequently, District Emergency Officer Tahira Khan has urged citizens to adopt precautionary measures, follow traffic rules, and act responsibly during the festive occasion. She emphasized that in case of any emergency, the public should immediately contact the 1122 helpline, reaffirming the department’s unwavering commitment to safeguarding lives and ensuring a safe Eid celebration.
