Rescue 1122 sets up 800 posts across Punjab for Easter

LAHORE, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 5th Apr, 2026) Punjab Emergency Services (Rescue 1122) has established 800 rescue posts at key locations across the province and made comprehensive emergency arrangements, including dedicated rescue and medical cover at churches and other religious gatherings, to ensure public safety during Easter celebrations.

According to a spokesperson, 2,300 motorbikes, 896 ambulances, and 316 fire and rescue vehicles have been deployed throughout Punjab to ensure a swift response to any emergency situation.

The Provincial Emergency Operations Centre is monitoring all rescue operations round the clock to ensure effective coordination and timely response across the province.

Secretary Emergency Services Dr. Rizwan Naseer has directed all District Emergency Officers to closely supervise field operations in their respective districts and ensure uninterrupted emergency response services alongside routine duties.

He urged citizens to immediately contact the nearest rescue post or dial the emergency helpline 1122 in case of any emergency.
