Rescue 1122 Shaheed Benazirabad ensured comprehensive arrangements during Muharram-ul-Haram : Zeeshan Qadri

NAWABSHAH, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 28th Jun, 2026) The Sindh Emergency Rescue Service (Rescue 1122), Shaheed Benazirabad, made comprehensive arrangements during Muharram-ul-Haram to protect mourners from intense heat and ensure the timely provision of emergency medical care across the district. The initiative was taken on the special directives of the district administration.

Ambulances, medical teams, and first aid camps were deployed at various Imambargahs, mourning processions, and other sensitive locations, where mourners were provided with immediate medical assistance and other essential healthcare services.

According to statistics released by Rescue In-charge Zeeshan Zardari, medical camps were established at different Imambargahs and along the routes of mourning processions throughout Muharram-ul-Haram.

During this period, Rescue 1122 teams provided first aid and emergency medical treatment to more than 3,000 mourners.

People affected by the extreme heat received on-site medical care, cold drinking water, and other necessary healthcare services. Those who required further treatment were safely shifted by ambulance to nearby Basic Health Units (BHUs) and government hospitals. Rescue In-charge Zeeshan Zardari said that emergency response teams remained on 24-hour alert throughout Muharram-ul-Haram.

Working in close coordination with the district administration, the Health Department, Police, and other relevant institutions, the teams ensured the timely provision of medical services to mourners, contributing to the peaceful and successful conduct of Muharram arrangements.
