Rescue official dies in accident during duty

MUZAFFARGARH, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 16th Apr, 2026) A rescue ambulance responding to an emergency call met an accident, killing an emergency medical technician, officials sources said on Thursday.

According to the Rescue 1122 control room, the ambulance collided with a tractor-trolley parked by the roadside due to a puncture while attempting to avoid an oncoming unidentified vehicle during an overtaking maneuver.

The technician, identified as Sanaullah, 30 years, sustained critical injuries in the accident.

The Rescue officials said he suffered severe head along with multiple fractures to his arms and legs.

On the directives of District Emergency Officer Engineer Ubaidullah Khan, three rescue vehicles were dispatched to the scene. The injured was provided initial medical assistance before being shifted to the District Headquarters Hospital in Muzaffargarh, where he later succumbed to his injuries.

Khan personally supervised the rescue operation and reviewed medical arrangements at the hospital, officials added. The body was handed over to the family after legal formalities and transported to his native village, Bait Mir Hazar, for burial.
