Research Book Launching Ceremony of Young Writer and Researcher Ahmed Ali Soomro Held in Larkana

LARKANA, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 28th Mar, 2026) The Sindhi Literary Sangat organized a launching ceremony for the research book "Olhand Phathal Naaro" by young writer and researcher Ahmed Ali Soomro at the Larkana Press Club.

The event was presided over by renowned writer Mukhtiar Samo,speaking on the occasion, he stated that Ahmed Ali Soomro has compiled Sindh's history on a scientific basis by conducting research on this subject. He said this research work is of the standard of a PhD dissertation because the author has documented authentic history while adhering to the principles of research, which will be a source of pride for our future generations. History provides us with courage, awareness, and identity.

Author Ahmed Ali Soomro said that this book is a forgotten chapter of history, which embodies a magnificent civilization within it.Young writer and researcher Isa Memon remarked that through this book, Ahmed Soomro has attempted to clear the dust off Sindh's history and has delivered a new message by presenting history from a progressive and enlightened perspective.

Renowned writer and poet Baqarullah Bozdar said that this book provides a strong foundation for those interested in history and also serves as an authentic reference.

Special guest Dr. Zameer Ahmed Soomro stated that Ahmed has spent his life in the shadow of books and has been on a path of inquiry since childhood, and this book is the result of that quest.

Prominent figures including Mumtaz Luhur, Ali Pathan, Adil Solangi, Sahib Khan Mirani, Raees Ahmed Khan Jatoi, and others also addressed the ceremony.

Earlier, Roshan Totani, District Contact Secretary of the Sindhi Literary Sangat Larkana, welcomed the guests and said that quality programs of this nature would continue to be held.He said that Ahmed Ali Soomro's book will not only serve as a guide for history students but will also permanently preserve many aspects of history.

During the program, Muhammad Nawaz Marathi presented "Latif’s Wai," while Mumtaz Luhar presented a Ghazal.A large number of people from various walks of life attended the event.
