PESHAWAR, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 24th Jul, 2026) Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Minister for Revenue and Estate Tariq Mahmood Araini on Friday removed the tehsildar of Takht Bhai from his post after receiving multiple public complaints during a surprise inspection of the Service Delivery Centre.
The minister visited the centre without prior notice to assess the quality of revenue services, review administrative affairs and inspect the performance of different sections.
During the visit, he interacted directly with members of the public, who complained about delays in revenue-related matters and the conduct of the tehsildar.
Taking immediate notice of the complaints, Araini ordered the removal of the tehsildar and warned that negligence in public service, abuse of authority, corruption and discourteous behaviour towards citizens would not be tolerated.
He later inspected the offices of the Sub-Registrar, Assistant Commissioner and other revenue sections, reviewing record management, service delivery procedures and public facilities.
He directed officials to improve efficiency and ensure transparent and prompt services.

He said efforts were underway to shift more revenue services online to make them faster, more transparent and accessible.
Araini said the government was also working to enable citizens to obtain land ownership records through NADRA e-Sahulat centres and a dedicated mobile application, which would reduce congestion at service delivery centres and improve public convenience.
He announced that surprise inspections of revenue offices across the province would continue to ensure accountability and improve governance.
He said strict action would be taken against officials found neglecting their duties, while honest and efficient officers would be recognised and encouraged.
The minister also instructed revenue officials to deal with the public courteously, resolve complaints on a priority basis and ensure timely delivery of services, stressing that public trust was the foundation of good governance.
