Robber killed, cop injured in encounter

LAHORE, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 18th Apr, 2026) A robber was killed and a police cop was injured in an alleged police encounter in Manga Mandi area on Saturday.

According to a spokesperson for DIG Operations, SHO Manga Mandi conducted a raid to arrest the accused, Saleem Pakhandi, who committed a robbery at a house.

The accused opened heavy fire on the raid party.

The spokesperson further said that police took protective and retaliatory action. In the exchange of fire, the accused was killed.

During the encounter, Constable Saleem was injured by a bullet.
