Rousing reception planned for AJK Prime Minister Faisal Rathore’s first visit to Mirpur

MIRPUR, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 1st May, 2026) Azad Jammu and Kashmir Prime Minister Raja Faisal Mumtaz Rathore is set to receive a rousing welcome on his first-ever two-day official visit to Mirpur, beginning Saturday, May 2, officials said.

According to details, the Prime Minister will be received at Mangla Bridge, the main gateway to the lake city, by local dignitaries and party workers. A large gathering of supporters is expected to attend the reception.

During the visit, the Prime Minister is scheduled to address a public meeting in Khari Sharif shortly after his arrival.

The event will be held under the chairmanship of Minister for Energy and Water Resources Chaudhry Arshad Hussain, who will also lead the welcoming arrangements.

Sources said that Raja Faisal Mumtaz Rathore is expected to announce a major public welfare project for the Khari Sharif constituency during the gathering, which is anticipated to draw a significant crowd of supporters and local residents.
