RPO, commissioner review Muharram security in DG Khan

DG KHAN, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 23rd Jun, 2026) Regional Police Officer (RPO) Muhammad Azhar Akram accompanied by Commissioner

Ashfaq Ahmed Chaudhry conducted a special visit to the city to review security arrangements

for Muharram-ul-Haram.

District Police Officer (DPO) Sadiq Baloch and Deputy Commissioner Muhammad Usman Khalid

also accompanied the delegation.

The senior officials inspected Imambargahs, procession routes and security deployment across the city.

They directed law enforcement personnel to remain on high alert and ensure strict implementation

of the approved security plan throughout Muharram.

During the visit, the RPO and Commissioner inspected security arrangements at various Imambargahs, including Imambargah Darbar Aal-e-Muhammad, and checked duty points established around religious sites.

They encouraged security personnel and instructed them to perform their duties with vigilance and professionalism.

DPO Sadiq Baloch and Deputy Commissioner Muhammad Usman Khalid briefed the visiting officials on procession routes, the security plan and administrative arrangements.

The RPO and Commissioner also met organisers of Imambargahs, religious gatherings and processions,

as well as members of the District Peace Committee.

Reviewing the security measures, RPO Muhammad Azhar Akram directed that all personnel deployed during Muharram remain fully alert, with strict monitoring of sensitive locations and flashpoints. He ordered rigorous enforcement of approved procession routes, timings and agreed protocols, while directing police to continue search, sweep and combing operations around venues of religious gatherings and processions.
