RPO Dera inspects police recruitment process at Ijaz Shaheed police lines

DERA ISMAIL KHAN, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 30th Mar, 2026) Regional Police Officer(RPO) Dera, Syed Ashfaq Anwar on Monday conducted a special inspection of Ijaz Shaheed Police Lines, reviewing the ongoing recruitment interviews for new police constables.

According to spokesman, the RPO assessed security arrangements, entry points, interview halls, and overall administrative management, instructing officers to maintain strict law and order throughout the process.

The interviews are being conducted for candidates who have passed the ETTA test, under the supervision of a high-level selection committee established following directives from Inspector General of Police Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Zulfiqar Hamid.

This process covers the districts of Dera Ismail Khan, Tank, and South Waziristan Lower, aiming to recruit a police force based entirely on merit, transparency, and professional standards.

The selection committee is chaired by Commandant FRP Jahanzeb Nazir Khan, with members including district police chiefs, SP Investigation Shakeel Khan, and Dr. Major (R) Muhammad Saleem.

During the interviews, candidates are evaluated on their mental, physical, ethical, and professional competencies. Key aspects include legal knowledge, decision-making abilities, policing fundamentals, and physical standards, ensuring that only the most capable individuals are selected.
