RPO Dera visits families of police martyrs, vows lifelong support

DERA ISMAIL KHAN, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 3rd Apr, 2026) Regional Police Officer (RPO) Dera Ismail Khan Ghulam Mubashir Mekan on Friday visited the homes of police martyrs, paying tribute to their sacrifices and expressing solidarity with their families.

During the visit, the RPO met the bereaved families, including children and relatives of the officers, and inquired about their well-being. He praised the courage, loyalty, and bravery of the martyrs, acknowledging their invaluable contribution to the nation’s security.

Speaking on the occasion, the RPO said the police force stands as a strong barrier between the state and terrorist elements. He emphasized that the sacrifices of these officers could never be forgotten and described their families as a source of pride for the department. He assured them that Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Police would never abandon the families of its martyrs.

He further stated that martyrs hold a revered status and their sacrifices continued to inspire future generations.

He noted that many continue to send their children to serve the country despite enduring great loss. He added that efforts would continue until terrorist elements are brought to justice.

The families of the martyrs thanked the RPO for visiting their homes and offering support. They reiterated their resolve against terrorism, stating that such acts cannot break the spirit of mothers who raise brave sons for the protection of the country. They affirmed that their children remain committed to serving in police and security forces without fear, and that sacrifices for the nation will continue.

Reaffirming institutional support, the RPO pledged continued welfare assistance and full patronage for the families, assuring that the sacrifices of the martyrs would always be remembered.
