RPO holds open court, reviews policing in Layyah

MULTAN, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 15th Apr, 2026) Regional Police Officer Dera Ghazi Khan Muhammad Azhar Akram, along with DPO Layyah Hassan Javed Bhatti, held an open court at Karor Police Station to hear public complaints and issued on-the-spot orders for their resolution on Wednesday.

He said the initiative aims to ensure public access to police and resolve issues at their doorstep, stressing that public cooperation is essential for crime control.

The RPO also visited the family of a martyred police official, paid tribute, and assured full support.

During his visit, he inspected police stations, reviewed investigation progress, checked records and pending cases, and directed officers to ensure merit-based and quality investigations.

He inaugurated a Police Facilitation Centre and reviewed public service delivery, including driving licence facilities. He also inspected ongoing development projects and directed timely completion with quality standards.

The RPO held meetings with officers and local stakeholders, stressing the need to maintain law and order and promote harmony.
