ISLAMABAD:

At a meeting of the Senate Standing Committee on Interior, Regional Police Officer (RPO) Rab Nawaz provided a briefing on the security situation in Mardan, outlining recent law-enforcement activities, arrests, and ongoing threats to police personnel and infrastructure.

According to the briefing, Mardan Police currently deploy 3,722 personnel to oversee a 1,632-kilometre jurisdiction. The force has registered 53 murder cases and arrested 118 suspects in connection with these incidents.

The RPO stated that orders have also been issued for the immediate registration of motorcycle.
