Rs 144 billion allocated for Education Dept, 3000 new posts created in Annual budget 2026-27

QUETTA, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 17th Jun, 2026) Balochistan government on Wednesday allocated Rs 144 billion for Education Department in the financial year 2026-27 which is increased 15 percent more than the previous year budget.

Out of this amount, Rs 115 billion has been allocated only for school education.

According to the budget speech, Rs 8 billion has been allocated for the up-gradation of schools across the province, through which Primary schools would be given the status of middle schools and middle schools will be given the status of high schools.

3,000 new posts are being created for the education department, while the cluster budget has been increased from Rs 2.5 billion to Rs 2.9 billion.

It was said in the budget session speech that education is top priority of Balochistan Government, while incumbent regime is taking practical steps to create new posts in the education sector with the aim to improve quality of knowledge in the province because education is key sources of development any nation.
