Rs 20,000 special stipend approved for blind children of Punjab Police

LAHORE, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 10th Apr, 2026) Inspector General of Police Punjab Rao Abdul Kareem has approved the provision of Rs. 20,000 as a special stipend for the blind children of Punjab Police officers and personnel, here on Friday.

According to sources, after the approval of the Medical Financial Committee, it has been decided to provide a stipend of Rs 20,000 for blind children, which will be released formally.

Official sources in Police said, this stipend will be given to the children of serving and retired officers and personnel of Punjab Police, while the blind children of personnel who died or were martyred during service have also been included in this facility.

Under the decision, this stipend will be paid every three months from January 1, 2026, to provide financial support to the affected families.

On the instructions of the IG Punjab, the Additional IG Welfare Punjab Police has issued a letter to the concerned officers and necessary steps have been initiated to implement it.

Officials say that the aim of this measure is to ensure the welfare of police personnel and their families and provide facilities to special people.
