Rs.200,000 fines imposed on marriage halls over one dish violations

SARGODHA, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 11th Apr, 2026) Acting on the directives of Deputy Commissioner (DC),Hussain Ahmed Raza Chaudhry,authorities imposed fines on multiple marriage halls for violating the one-dish policy.

DC Ahmed Sher Gondal conducted surprise visits to various venues on Friday night, where several halls were found serving more than the permitted single dish in violation of government orders.

Following the inspections,fines amounting to Rs.200,000 were imposed on the managements of the concerned marriage halls with strict instructions issued to ensure compliance with the policy.

The DC Hussain warned that violations of government regulations would not be tolerated,adding that enforcement actions would continue without interruption.

He further stated that stricter legal action would be taken against repeat offenders.
