LAHORE, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 29th Mar, 2026) The Punjab government will allocate a total of Rs869.3 million for 980 new posts created in Punjab Tourism Force during the current fiscal year, while Rs431.7 million will be required annually for the immediate new seats.
The Chief Minister of Punjab has approved the recruitment in the Punjab Tourism Force and has also ordered the release of the budget for the current financial year, according to the letter.
The IG Punjab had recommended increasing 980 more seats in the Tourism Force, of which 500 seats have been allocated for safety police, 180 for dolphin police and 300 for traffic police.
A total of Rs 869.3 million will be allocated for these seats in the current financial year, while Rs 431.7 million will be required annually for the immediate 499 new seats.
The Chief Minister has directed that a budget of Rs 215.8 million be released immediately for 499 new posts in the on going fiscal year, so that the recruitment can be completed without delay.
This step has been taken to increase the capacity of the Punjab Tourism Force, improve safety and traffic arrangements and provide more effective service to the public.
