LAHORE, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 24th Mar, 2026) Punjab Police Rahim Yar Khan, in a joint operation with law enforcement agencies, achieved a major breakthrough as a notorious proclaimed offender (PO) Munir alias Munni Kosh, carrying a head money of Rs5 million, surrendered to law enforcement agencies.

According to spokesperson, the accused, affiliated with the Kosh gang, laid down arms due to sustained pressure, effective strategy and coordinated operations by law enforcement agencies in the Katcha area.

District Police Officer (DPO) Rahim Yar Khan Irfan Ali Samo said that during the ongoing Katcha operation, 65 dangerous dacoits had been killed, 99 arrested in injured condition, while 283 had surrendered so far.

He said the operation would continue without interruption until the arrest or surrender of the last criminal, adding that the writ of the state would be ensured at all costs.

Inspector General of Police Punjab Abdul Kareem appreciated the performance of Rahim Yar Khan Police and directed continuation of successful operations against criminals in the Katcha region.

He reaffirmed that indiscriminate action against criminal elements would continue and protection of lives and property of citizens would be ensured at all costs.
