BHAKKAR, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 29th Apr, 2026) Acting on special directives from Deputy Commissioner, Secretary, Regional Transport Authority, (RTA), Malik Sher Bahadur Chhina has launched a major crackdown against the illegal use of LPG cylinders in passenger vehicles.
During a two-day operation, authorities impounded 20 passenger vehicles and imposed a total of Rs100,000 in fines on vehicle owners.
Speaking on the occasion, the RTA secretary said the Primary objective of the campaign was to ensure the protection of citizens’ lives, noting that substandard LPG cylinders could cause accidents at any time.
He made it clear that indiscriminate action would continue against all vehicles using LPG cylinders.
