PESHAWAR, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 17th Feb, 2026) The Right to Public Services (RTS) Commission organized a one-day capacity-building training workshop on Tuesday for RTS Ambassadors and District Monitoring Officers (DMOs) to strengthen institutional capacity, enhance public awareness and ensure effective implementation of the Right to Public Services (RTS) framework across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
In the opening remarks, the importance of timely and quality public service delivery, transparency and citizen facilitation was highlighted. Participants were briefed on the key roles and responsibilities of RTS Ambassadors and DMOs, which include raising public awareness about citizens’ rights and ensuring the timely provision of government services.
During the technical session, participants received a detailed briefing on the legal framework of the RTS Act, relevant rules and regulations and recent developments.
The session also clarified operational responsibilities, complaint redressal mechanisms and monitoring systems aimed at improving the standard of public service delivery.
A special session on professional ethics and leadership emphasized the importance of ethical conduct, responsible decision-making, and leadership skills for effective public service. Additionally, a session on the responsible and ethical use of social media guided participants on promoting public awareness, disseminating accurate information and maintaining positive public engagement.
The workshop featured interactive discussions, group activities and practical exercises to further enhance participants’ communication and awareness-building skills, enabling them to promote RTS services effectively at the district level. Participants described the training as valuable for improving professional skills and strengthening coordination.
The workshop concluded with a commitment to continue such training initiatives in the future to ensure the effective implementation of RTS objectives and to provide better public services to the people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
