LAHORE, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 7th Jul, 2026) Punjab Safe Cities Authority (PSCA) on Tuesday helped police arrest a suspect involved in a vehicle theft and recover a stolen Suzuki Bolan through its Safe City surveillance cameras, virtual patrolling system and digital evidence.
According to a PSCA spokesperson, the vehicle was stolen from the Shadman area after its owner parked it and briefly stopped for breakfast. The stolen Suzuki Bolan was being used to provide transport services to school and college students.
The spokesperson said the victim immediately reported the theft through the Punjab Emergency Helpline 15, prompting Virtual Patrolling Officers to launch a coordinated response.
The suspected vehicle was tracked in real time through the Safe City camera network, while digital evidence, including video footage, the suspect's identification, location details and other relevant information, was promptly shared with Civil Lines Police.
